The good and the bad guy of Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Sachin Shroff speaks
to Kamiya Mohan Jani about living in Chembur and his career as a
tele-star
Here’s a telly star, who has achieved success in the world of
television. Having campaigned for several products, Sachin Shroff, a
resident of Chembur is popularly known as Dhruv of Sindoor Tere Naam
Ka.
“It all started with the fashion shows at the inter-collegiate
level,” recollects Sachin. Immediately after graduating from the
Vivekananda Education Society, Sachin was showered with offers of
modeling but it all began with his first commercial for a leading
cellular operator. His appearances on the daily soaps started with
Shagun, at the age of 23. Before that, Sachin was looking after his
construction business.
Currently he is playing a double role in Sindoor Tere Naam Ka as
Dhruv and Karan, working all through the month. “I leave home at seven
and come back at post mid-night,” he informs. However, Sachin does not
let this affect his social life. He still hangs around with his friends
in Chembur and suburbs as and when he gets time. Well, on the sets of
Sindoor, he enjoys the company of Jayeti Bhatia, who plays Titli Mami
in the show.
Shroff loves horse riding but states that he doesn’t find them to
horse around anymore. I don’t see horses on the beach anymore,” he
says. Nevertheless he takes pleasure in playing badminton with his
friends. He relishes the Junk and the Moghlai food of Chembur.
Sachin has a younger sister, who he prefers to keep out of the
glamour industry. The reason, he states, “You really need to be strong
to survive here. People talk unnecessary stuff about you, which may not
even be true.”
Well, on personal note, Sachin has broken up with his girlfriend
two months back. “She is not from the industry,” he says, refusing to
comment any further on the subject but informs that he celebrated
Valentines Day with his friends and did have a good time. Sachin
intends putting Sindoor- apne naam ka in another two to three years. CG
