In love… after a long time
clock April 28, 2008 01:13 by author Kamiya
I am talking about the song which I have been listening on radio, of late. It’s as rare as once a week that I encounter with this number, and even one beat of it makes me smile…surely a sign of love.

While surfing through various radio stations, I sometimes get to hear only the last five seconds of the song and then the jockey goes on and on about it. Aaargh.. I curse myself then for not putting it on at the right time. But today, I feel extremely content, coz I heard ‘Bandeya ho’ from its first beat till the last time he says Bandeya hooo...

It's from a Pakistani movie called Khuda Kay Liye.

I don’t understand even one bit of the song but I still love it! Worth listening to. Highly recommended :-)

Here it goes:

Bulley no samjhawan aayan behna te bharjaiaan,
Munlay bullehya sada kehna chad de pala rayaan
Aaale nabi Aulade Ali noo too kyoun leeka laayaan
Jehra sano Syed saday doozakh milan sazayaan

Bandeyaaa hoooo
Bandeya hoo...Raaeen Saaeen subhni Thaeee Rab diyan be parwa yan
Sohiyaan pare hataian te kojiah lay Gul layaan
Jay tu Loray Baagh baharan Chakar ho ja raai yan
Bulley shah di zaat ke puchni Shaakar ho Raziaaan

Bandeyaaa hooo Bandeya hoo....

PS: Forgive me for not having transcribed the lyrics accurately!

Aye hip hopper!
clock January 4, 2008 18:53 by author Kamiya

Sunidhi Chauhan cannot get better than this! To come up with a song titled 'Aye hip hopper' needs gumption. This is one of the funniest song I have come across. You have to watch the video before you just download and listen to it. It's between a hiphop singer and his maidservant. The lyrics of this song are exceedingly humorous. If not for the lyrics, watch the video for the glamorous maid. Enjoy!

Thug it out till we get it right!
clock January 1, 2008 22:24 by author Kamiya

The award for the best song of the 2007 goes to 'The way I are'. I just LOVE this song. This is an extremely addictive song and you may never feel tired of listening to it. Its been on repeat mode since past two days and I have no plans of changing that for another week. My new year can't have a better beginning than this. It just peps me up!

The Way I Are lyrics

[Verse 1: Timbaland]
I ain't got no money
I ain't got no car to take you on a date
I can't even buy you flowers
But together we'll be the perfect soulmates
Talk to me girl

[Bridge: Keri Hilson]
Oh, baby, it's alright now, you ain't gotta flaunt for me
If we go touch, you can still touch my love, it's free
We can work without the perks just you and me
Thug it out 'til we get it right

[Chorus: Keri Hilson & (Timbaland)]
Baby if you strip, you can get a tip
'Cause I like you just the way you are
(I'm about to strip and I am well equipped
Can you handle me the way I are?)
I don't need the G's or the car keys
Boy I like you just the way you are
Let me see ya strip, you can get a tip
'Cause I like, I like, I like

[Verse 2: Timbaland]
I ain't got no Visa
I ain't got no Red American Express
We can't go nowhere exotic
It don't matter 'cause I'm the one that love you best
Talk to me girl

Oh, baby, it's alright now, you ain't gotta flaunt for me
If we go touch, you can still touch my love, it's free
We can work without the perks just you and me
Thug it out 'til we get it right

Baby if you strip, you can get a tip
'Cause I like you just the way you are
(I'm about to strip and I am well equipped
Can you handle me the way I are?)
I don't need the G's or the car keys
Boy I like you just the way you are
Let me see ya strip, you can get a tip
'Cause I like you just the way you are

Baby girl, I don't got a huge ol' house I rent a room in a house
Listen baby girl, I ain't got a motorboat but I can float ya boat
So listen baby girl, once you get a dose of D.O.E. you gon' want some mo'
So listen baby girl, when I make it I want you back, want you back, yeah

Musical Taare on Zameen
clock December 30, 2007 16:21 by author Kamiya

A lot have been said about how good the movie Taare Zameen Par is but I haven't read a lot about it's music. Let me do the honours!

I never thought I would like the music of Taare Zameen Par but now if you see any car blasting songs of TZP, it's mine! And it's only after watching the movie. The protaganist conveys his feelings only through songs, which is beautifully done. From kholo kholo to jamme raho, from mera jahaan to maa, all the songs are with a deep meaing and quite entertaining as well. Especially Jamme raho and 'Kya hai problem.. kyon tera bheja kum!' are fun to listen to.

Although it is not the kind of music which one would like to listen for too long. But the hangover is likely to stay for about a week or two.

Sweet little poem from the song Mera Jahaan:

A little sweet, a little sour
A little close, not too far
All I need, all I need
All I need is to be
Freeeeeeeeee

Warning: You may not like the music if you haven't seen the movie.

DJ KJ: a disc jockey in the making!
clock December 23, 2007 14:53 by author kamiya

WITH the party season coming along, you get no prize for guessing what my latest obsession is. I am not talking about dancing, I am talking about making others dance to my tune. I want to be a Disc Jockey!

I know of a DJ, who generally charges seven grands for playing at any event, he is now charging Rs 40,000 for playing on 31st December. Is his music going to be gold plated that night? I am sure not then why?

They are too much in a demand and very few ones can actually play good music. Trust me I am one of those :P (Self promotion). I have been practicing this on a software called Mismeister, which has really made my job simpler. I first tried Virtual DJ, which explained the basic concept to me and is good for any beginner. However, the only problem with that was probably, you could play only full songs and mixing midway was a bit difficult.

It took me a while to understand Mixmeister but now I feel its so simple and rocking. You just need to spend some quality time with it and it will be all yours. The best part about this software is that it is completely custom-made and the tutorials are self explanatory.

Rather than being stuck in Mumbai traffic or spending three grands at a five star hotel with no food available, make your friends dance to your tune at your place and ROCK ON! A house party is the best way to go. And if you still find this software complicated, contact me, I will be your DJ. But remember, there are no free lunches;)

Do more with your music!

Tired of being sorry!
clock October 10, 2007 08:33 by author Kamiya

No, Not me! I am not tired of being sorry. This word has helped me survive in this world.:P

Anyway, lets get to the point. I am talking about the song by Enrique - Tired of being sorry. Needless to say, it's a nice song for all you guys who are really tired of being sorry. I am sure many people will relate to this song.

Bailamos was a big hit. It was played in discs and a lot of salsa classes. I am not sure if this song will get so much attention but it is surely worth listening to. If you don't get the lyrics of the song, here's something for you:

I don't know why
You want to follow me tonight
When in the rest of the world
With you whom I've crossed and I've quarreled
Let's me down so
For a thousand reasons that I know
To share forever the unrest
With all the demons I possess
Beneath the silver moon

Maybe you were right
But baby I was lonely
I don't want to fight
I'm tired of being sorry

8th and Ocean Drive
With all the vampires and their brides
We're all bloodless and blind
And longing for a life
Beyond the silver moon

Maybe you were right
But baby I was lonely
I don't want to fight
I'm tired of being sorry
I'm standing in the street

Crying out for you
No one sees me
But the silver moon

So far away – so outer space
I've trashed myself – I've lost my way
I've got to get to you got to get to you

Maybe you were right
But baby I was lonely
I don't want to fight
I'm tired of being sorry
I'm standing in the street yeah
Crying out for you
No one sees me
But the silver moon
(lalalala till end)
Maybe you were right
But baby I was lonely
I don't want to fight
I'm tired of being sorry
I'm standing in the street
Crying out for you
No one sees me
But the silver moon

Song of the day
clock October 1, 2007 23:52 by author admin

In the middle of some extremely important work, I could not stop myself from writing this post. It is all because of this song, 'Labon ko', which has been distracting me since last night. I don't know its by which artist, which movie, which actors, absolutely nothing but I have heard it for atleast 33 times since morning. I have fallen in love with this song. It's BEAUTIFUL and this is an understatement. I don know how long will this love last coz generally my love is quite short lived:P

I wanna type out the lyrics. Check it out!

Labon ko labon pe sajaao
kya ho tum mujhe abb bataao - 2

Tod do khud ko tum, baahon mein meri
baahon mein, baahon mein meri baahon mein - 3

Tere ehsaason mein, bheege lamhaaton mein, mujhko dooba tishnagi si hai
Teri adaayon se dilkash khataao se, in lamho mein zindagi si hai
Haya ko jara bhool jaao, meri hi tarah pesh aao
kho bhi do khud ko tum, raaton mein meri, raaton mein, meri raaton mein - 3

Labon ko labon pe sajaao
Kya ho tum mujhe abb bataao

Tere jasbaaton mein, mehaki si saanso mein, ye jo mehek sandili si hai
Dil ki panaaho mein, bikhari si aaho mein sone ki khwaaish jagi si hai
Chehare se chehara chupaao, sine ki dhadkan sunaao
Dekh lo khud ko tum, aankhon mein meri, aankhon mein, meri aankhon mein, meri aankhon mein - (I love this part!!)

Labon ko labon pe sajaao
Kya ho tum mujhe abb bataao

Let me know if you like this song too! We can share some CD's ;)
